FROM THE DESK OF NIGHTMARE PRO PRESIDENT – RICK ELSEY
**STATE OF NIGHTMARE PRO ADDRESS**
It is Monday morning, June 30th as I sit in my new office writing this address. Yes, you read that right. If you were not in attendance at the Wreck Room, this past Friday night June 27th, you may not know that The Solution Revolution defeated The Hardcore Coalition to give me full control of Nightmare Pro. So I have one thing to say as I begin my address to you, the fans and athletes of Nightmare Pro:
I told you so.
Now on to the business at hand, and that is the State of Nightmare Pro. I can report that the State of Nightmare Pro is currently in distress. Now this distress comes because people don’t generally like change. But, change can be a good thing, and in this case is the RIGHT thing. But not only is it the right thing, it’s a healthy and necessary thing. I tried to do this the easy way last year, by simply pleading my case to the Board and the President. But no one wanted to do anything about it. All of the pain and the anguish that has been the last eight months could have been avoided if the management of this company had the welfare of the athletes in mind, instead of ignoring the obvious and trying to please a few sick individuals. But as I stated, it is time to move on. A NEW era is upon us. This Friday after noon, on July 4th, we celebrate this nation’s birthday, and with it we celebrate our freedom. Nightmare Pro will also be celebrating its freedom from the oppression of Hardcore Wrestling and welcoming the dawning of a new day of prosperity for its athletes and wholesome wrestling action for its fans. And this new era is brought to you by me, your benevolent new leader and my partners in prosperity, The Solution Revolution.
At this time, before I get into the changes that will be taking place, I’d like to recognize the sacrifices of my partners and give them the public prosing they so rightfully deserve. First, Daniel King, my workhorse, and The Rookie of the Year, as voted by the fans of Nightmare Pro, Daniel you personify hard work and dedication. Jayson Zane, one of the most technically sound athletes I know, and a longtime friend. Having you on board is a true delight and I respect your contributions to our mission. Brandon Macgreggor, you are shinning beacon of sportsmanship and never ending source of inspiration. Chad Irons, while you are still a rookie, you have more heart than most veterans I know, and are a valued member of our cause. Phoenix, I respect your service to our great country and your service to this institution. I am proud to call you my friend. LC Green, few rookies have the drive that you possess and I have a vested interest in your continued success. The Masked Butcher, while you are not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but you’re my loyal bodyguard and a wrecking machine in the ring. And last but certainly not least, Chad Thomas. Chad you are my MVP and easy the true Wrestler of Year. I have been a fan since day one and I am honored that you understand my vision for Nightmare Pro and professional wrestling in general. Gentlemen, I thank you for your hard work and outstanding performances in the ring, it is an honor to call you my partners!
With that said, it is now time to outline the next phase of Nightmare Pro, and that is the RULES of Nightmare Pro. Hence forth, Disqualifications, Count Out’s and Time Limit draws are in effect. Referees will be allowed limited discretion in exercising these rules. In regards to hardcore matches or stipulations, hardcore rules , meaning anything goes, no holds barred, street fight, falls count anywhere type matches where basically anything is legal, have officially been banned. Hardcore as a style is now ILLEGAL in Nightmare Pro. I and only I reserve the right to make matches utilizing hardcore stipulations, which I can assure you, will only happen in only the most extreme of situations.
This Friday afternoon, July 4th at Yellow City Entertainment, I will be making an announcement concerning the Nightmare Pro Championship and how that title will be defended moving forward. I will also address the Hardcore Coalition personally. I will also making an announcement regarding our July 25th event at The Wreck Room, in relation to a new Championship I have commissioned.
Things are changing at a rapid pace at Nightmare Pro. This is what is best for our wrestlers and our fans. These changes will make for a safe and prosperous promotion. The State of Nightmare Pro will be strong.
Sincerely,
Your Humble President,
Rick Elsey
